In the afternoon of 31st July, 2019, PW & Partners and the Fair Trade Legal Practice Committee of Guangzhou Bar Association together with Shun De Import & Export Commercial Chamber held an enterprise exchange meeting with topic of “International Trade Frictions & Countermeasures” at Shun De New Energy Vehicle Town. The workshop attracted quite some local import and export enterprises to attend. Ada Wang, partner of PW & Partners, gave the opening speech. 

In first half of the meeting, lawyers lectured on “Brief Introduction of International Trade Frictions” and “Countermeasures to the European & American Anti-dumping Investigation under new circumstance” respectively. The lectures took the Sino-US trade war as background to interpret the sorts, causes and developing possibilities of international trade frictions from the example of Sino-US friction’s development and influence. Procedures and countermeasure schemes for enterprises against various anti-dumping investigations were also mentioned which provided some thoughts and directions for the possible trade frictions that present enterprises may encounter in the future. 

The second half of the workshop was for interacting. The representatives of the present enterprises shared their skills and measures against international trade frictions and consulted the lawyers at the same time for the confusions and concerns they had. The exchange was animated and lively.
